The last few months we've looked at results from a poll sent to hundreds of faculty senate presidents, had an interview with an expert in higher education as a field of academic study, and pondered on governing-board-level cybersecurity questions universities should be asking ourselves.
In the next few months we're shifting gears to engage with the world outside the ivory tower. I've reached out to nearly every elected Gen-Z state legislator in America and invited them to talk. My goal is to invite people from across the political spectrum, with a particular focus on young lawmakers.
This month we are joined by Rep. Valerie McDonnell, a Republican from New Hampshire who represents an area around Salem. Rep. McDonnell is a current law student and is 21 years old. We talk about what higher education in New Hampshire, and America, could look like a few decades from now, and where there is common ground for faculty/administrators and lawmakers to build trust in higher education.
